Welcome to another post. I'm so glad i could post in such a short period of time. There are so much to tell, yet, i got no time to sit down and just write on my blog. So, i'm terribly sorry about that. 

In this post, i'm going to talk about Asia Youth International Model United Nations. Huh? What is Model United Nations? Well, i'm going to explain it right now. 

Model United Nations is an educational simulation and/or academic activity in which students can learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. Or simply, it is a simulation of how the UN general assembly looks like and works. I didn't know and never heard of this model united nations before and the first thing that comes into my mind is that we're modelling for the united nations. i know. im so freakin' dumb. lmao. i was only 15 yo dont judge me. 

 So, basically here, you get to be a part of the UN's council such as UNICEF, UNHCR, UNESCO, IMF, and many more depends on the events. I got to pick between UNESCO and IMF, so picked UNESCO and i got the country Malawi. But beforehand, i want to talk about how i know MUN, why i applied, until i got the letter of acceptance. so..  be patient and grab your popcorn cause maybe this going to take a while.

 I know model united nations from my friends who applied before i did. They had to post a picture regarding the asia youth international model united nations and i was interested on it. I was like "what is this?", "omg, this is so cool.", "do we get to work with the UN?", "am i gong to america?" those kind of thoughts. So i asked one of my friends which is super nice. She explained my dumb self about this MUN and how it works and later that night i told my mom that i wanted to apply for this event. 

My mom was thrilled that i want to join this program and she said yes immediately. Later on that night, we applied for this program. There were a couple of questions, so, it took me around 2-3 days to complete my application. I applied to this program cause i was super excited of the thought working with the UN, finding solution for world peace and et cetera. I talked with my aunt about this, with my cousins and they helped me a lot with my application. I applied very last minute. My batch was the last batch. It was the third, i believe. A week later, the aplplication is closed and now its time to wait for the announcement.

 Several days later, i got an email regarding the MUN. The only seats they have left was in UNESCO and IMF. I picked UNESCO cause i didnt know anything about monetary fund and i still dont. So, why risk it (i thought at that time. turns out that this council was so fun but i dont regret that i picked UNESCO cause its the one that i'm more familiar with and its my first time too). I was panicking because i need to make a statement letter or else i wont get the place. Why am i panicking? BECAUSE I ALREADY PAID. YES, ALL THE DOLLARS. After i got the email, immediately made the statement letter and send it to the committee. 

 About 3 days later or 5 or a week (i kinda forgot), i got the acceptance letter!! YAY!! I was at achool at that time. Working for my theatre project and i was jumping up and down super happy because i got accepted. I didnt thought i would to be honest. I was super happy too cause i got UNESCO! yay! I got UNESCO for Malawi.

The next thing i got to do was to make a position paper which was basically and essay regarding the topics that they already provided. i need to talk about the topics in the country that i got. but we'll save that one for the next post. I'll see you soon.

PENGALAMAN SELEKSI UWC ⤅ STAGE 2 a.k.a THE MOST FUN SELECTION PROCESS

Hello guys! Aku gak mau lama-lama kalian waiting untuk stage 2nya karena ini literally the most fun selection process yang pernah aku jalanin. Super fun, really good people, good surroundings, ya pokoknya super seru deh<3 Starting from where i left off.... Aku kan udah kenalan dengan Alyssa, Raisya, also Kudit. Ternyata, very fortunately, Aku, Alyssa, dan Raisya, satu kelompok!! Yay! Kita satu kelompok di team hatta. Sebelum kita ketemuan semuanya which is itu Hari Rabunya, kita dibikinin group sama NC via whatsapp jadi kita bisa interact with friends yang satu group. Seneng bgt! Waktu pas dibuat group kita langsung introduce ourself. PENGALAMAN SELEKSI UWC ⤅ UPDATE AND UWCCSC '20

Helloooooo!! Wow.. it has been a while since i wrote something. With this post, i'm basically just continuing my UWC Selection story.  I've been waiting for months and months to actually give an update about what's going on with the selection process. So.. let me give a flash back real quick. My last post was about UWC Indonesia final selection process. If you want to read it, click this link . After waiting for less than a month or a month (i knida forgot. lol), finally the email came. It was the acceptance letter and for it's everything that i worked so hard for. I was surprised at first when i found out that i got in to UWC Changshu China. Why you might ask? Well, mainly because i really didn't expect it and for real tho i am NOT complaining. That school is massive, basically a five star hotel. The school is located in Changshu, China about 2 hours from Shanghai.
