PENGALAMAN SELEKSI AFS 2018-2019 ⤅ TAHAP II

As i promised, my next post is going to be the next stage of AFS selection. This one was fun and i get to meet a lot of friendsss. The next stage was interviews. lots of it. jk there's only two tho.
I found out that i got in to the next stage via email. It was instructed that i need to go to the head office to give out some documents. So, i did. Aku pergi ke kantor bina antarbudaya yang letaknya di kebayoran lebih tepatnya Jl. Limau with 2 of my friend who applied and got in as well. Pas nyampe sana beneran deh udah rame padahal kantornya aja belom dibuka. Kalo nggak salah kita baru boleh queue-ing itu sekitar jam 4an dan aku nyampe setengah 4 aja yang ngantri udah banyak.

Setelah about a half hour ngantri karena salah satu temenku lupa bawa beberapa documents dan dia harus balik lagi ke rumah jadi kita nungguin dia sampe dateng lagi, akhirnya kita dapet kebagian untuk check documents. Yang harus dibawa itu rapot, ijazah smp, akte, kartu keluarga, dan adalagi tapi lupa. tapi yang mandatory itu sih. Setelah di cek-cek, kita dapet penjelasan kalau seleksinya bakal diadain di UHAMKA Pasar Rebo. Setelah itu, aku pulang bareng temen aku terus makan di daerah kemang (but this is not important so continue..)

Beberapa hari kemudian, karena disuruh sama orang tuaku jadi aku harus ke UHAMKA duluan biar bisa ngira ngira bakalan macet apa nggak. So, i went there. Nyetir sendiri and i crashed the car. HAHAHA. Ok next. Minggu depannya aku berangkat early in the morning ke UHAMKA. I just realized banyak banget temen dari SMP aku sama SD yang daftar afs juga so.. im quite familiar with all the people there. Terus ketemuan juga sama temen aku yang bareng pas 'daftar ulang' aka thirah dan afi juga sama temen aku yang aku kenalan dari seleksi sebelumnya (shoutout to ghina!)

Pas disana kita dibriefing terus ada little chat sama kakak-kakaknya untuk meredam nervous yang lagi tinggi-tingginya sampe akhirnya namaku dipanggil untuk interview pertama.

Interview pertama adalah bahasa inggris. which i LOVE very much. Kakak-kakanya super nice dan mau ngedengerin my rambling about stuffs. My tips for interviwes is just be your best self.  Jangan fake about your answers cause they want to know you. the REAL you. So DONT FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT. cause it NOT going to help at all. Interview bahasa inggrisnya selama kurang lebih 20 menit, but time flies so fast i didnt even realize that my time is up. The next interview was with psychologists.

Interview kedua itu pakai bahasa indonesia which should be easier but it not really. Disini waktunya sekitar 45 menitan dan kita bener bener ditanya soal aplikasi kita dan apa yang udah kita tulis disitu. Literally guys, prepare yourself because the know everything about you and they have all your documents even your essay from previous stage, so please learn more about your application and what did you talk about on it. Yang disini bisa quite intimidating tapi tetap jawab the best possible answers ya. Kakak-kakaknya baik banget dan mereka juga menceritakan pengalaman mereka sendiri pas mereka di AFS. Super fun.

Aku ketemu temen banyak di stage ini and we exchanged instagram account. SOme of them i still get in touch till today. Not only the ones who goes to the same school as i am, but the ones who goes to school so far away too.

That's all i guess for this stage. 2 weeks later i got an email, again, late at night informing that i got in to the next stage which was the last stage. Unfortunately, 2 of my friends, athirah and aya, didn't. The next selection is group work. But, i'll talk about that on my next post! See ya.

Itu sedikit infromasi tentang UWC dan sejarahnya. Sekarang UWC sudah punya 17 sekolah yang tersebar di seluruh dunia. PENGALAMAN SELEKSI UWC ⤅ STAGE 2 a.k.a THE MOST FUN SELECTION PROCESS

Hello guys! Aku gak mau lama-lama kalian waiting untuk stage 2nya karena ini literally the most fun selection process yang pernah aku jalanin. Super fun, really good people, good surroundings, ya pokoknya super seru deh<3 Starting from where i left off.... Aku kan udah kenalan dengan Alyssa, Raisya, also Kudit. Ternyata, very fortunately, Aku, Alyssa, dan Raisya, satu kelompok!! Yay! Kita satu kelompok di team hatta. Sebelum kita ketemuan semuanya which is itu Hari Rabunya, kita dibikinin group sama NC via whatsapp jadi kita bisa interact with friends yang satu group. Seneng bgt! Waktu pas dibuat group kita langsung introduce ourself. Inget banget yang ngomong Rabu malem itu Alan, FauFau, Allysa (double L), dan Lorica (yang lainnya udah bobok gengs.. soalnya itu group dibikin jam 10 malem ahahaha) Besoknya, Hari Kamisnya, kita mulai sibuk untuk nge-plan acara social activity kita untuk hari sabtu yang diadain di Rumah Singgah Kanker CISC, Slipi. PENGALAMAN SELEKSI UWC ⤅ UPDATE AND UWCCSC '20

Helloooooo!! Wow.. it has been a while since i wrote something. With this post, i'm basically just continuing my UWC Selection story.  I've been waiting for months and months to actually give an update about what's going on with the selection process. So.. let me give a flash back real quick. My last post was about UWC Indonesia final selection process. If you want to read it, click this link . After waiting for less than a month or a month (i knida forgot. lol), finally the email came. It was the acceptance letter and for it's everything that i worked so hard for. I was surprised at first when i found out that i got in to UWC Changshu China. Why you might ask? Well, mainly because i really didn't expect it and for real tho i am NOT complaining. That school is massive, basically a five star hotel. The school is located in Changshu, China about 2 hours from Shanghai.
